The pictures are too small.
It’s difficult to see the designs in great detail because the pictures are too small. I’m disappointed it’s a waste of time.

Mainly photos, little detail
To be honest, I did not enjoy this book. I’m building a house soon and found very little to enjoy in this book. I love contemporary architecture and love how buildings are built, but I found no information about the homes in the book to intrigue me. I didn’t even find any photos in the book that I liked, and the book is just mainly photos with very little design details. It’s mainly a “blah” response from me. No meat, no vegetables, no bread, disturbingly empty calories is how I rate this book. A reader gets far more design information and happiness from a copy of Dwell magazine.

150 beautiful and impractical homes.
Book is great pics and detail. My problem is the content. Almost all the houses have flat roofs and floor to ceiling glass without curtains. These houses are abstraction incarnate. Most homes have window coverings. Most homes have rain that lands on the roof. These homes are beautiful and impractical.

ZERO STARS – Useless Kindle sample
I have not purchased this book. I checked it out from my local library. I was considering purchasing the Kindle edition for my iPad and was curious about how it was formatted due to its image-heavy layout. It looks like a decision was made, I suppose by the publisher, not to provide anything past the Table of Contents though the printed edition is 480 pages long… In fact, ALL the books in the series are presented this way for Kindle. Useless and disappointing.

Wanted this book to go into a stack and the footprint of the book was much smaller than the other books. Came with tear in the dust cover on the spine so returned. Overall return process easy and refund came in a timely manner. Did not have to pay for return postage as item arrived damaged.
