Durable and bright
I switched from an Apple Watch to the TRex. The main reason I wanted to switch was battery life. The Apple Watch at best could get 24-30 hours, but general use 24hrs was my average.I looked at the Garmin Fenix 8 but I really just didnât want to pay that price. I watched review after review and felt the TRex was the right fit for my needs.Concerns before I purchased:- messaging- calls- no SpeakerI have had the device now for about 45 days.Durability – this is a solid watch. I have been doing a full kitchen gut and remodel. I have warn this watch the whole time and it looks like me. No scratches or evidence of any damage.Battery Life – I think confidently 18 days is consist. The first few days I was messing with the settings and looking it over a lot so battery was only 10 days after charging to 90%. I think you could get even more if I turned off notifications and brightness down.Navigation and menus – the OS is really smooth. Very fast to respond. I like the mix of buttons and touch screen. Especially when you have gloves on and suchInsights and Health – I think it is far more accurate on steps than my Apple Watch. I wore both watchâs on the same wrist for a full day and I never realized how many non steps my Apple Watch was picking up. I was sitting and typing at my desk. The Apple Watch picked up a nearly 100 phantom steps. The TRex picks up stress pretty well. It notices when I am thinking about a topic that is stressing me, like âis my flooring going to arrive in time?â Or âwe only have x hours to complete this before the contractors are here!â Lots of good health habit reminders and such. I am looking forward to getting more use out of them once this project is over.Price, quality, and worry – when you have an expensive watch you worry about damage. Itâs not to say I donât worry about this watch, but when itâs 1/3 or 1/5 of the price of the other watches you looked at, itâs nice to be able to just enjoy it. Lots of compliments on its appearance and screen brightness. A lot of watch for the processThe gaps:I do have moments I wish I could do a voice reply to a text or quick reply, but Apple doesnât allow that.No speaker is a kind of a bummer and I typically donât pair my headphones to my watch, but that would be nice to be phone free for a run or workout.Overall, I really like the watch. I thought I would miss the Apple Watch integrations, but I donât. The TRex still has the camera remote and find my phone features. I donât really notice anything yet that I miss from my Apple Watch that I would say is a âsend it back!â Thing.Updates are fast and so far little tweaks will continue to improve it. I would by it again.

Excellent value for the cost.
I wanted a fitness tracker that can do it all, but looks like a rugged watch, and this watch seems to have nailed that. I’ve owned two Fitbits and a Google Pixel watch, and so far this watch out performs all of those. It tracks every health metric you could think of and the Zepp app has a very intuitive interface. Every so often it won’t sync and I’ll have to close it to for e a sync, but those times have been infrequent. I get 14 days on one charge, which is really great. It features more workout functions than any non-triathlete would ever use. I would like to see Zepp add an elliptical, but it does feature an “indoor fitness” mode that I use in lieu of elliptical. Overall, really great watch for the value.

Itâs super bright, so I have no issues checking maps or workout stats even in bright sunlight, and the night mode is easy on the eyes when Iâm in lower light plus itâs scratch resistant. The battery life is exceptional; with over three weeks on a typical charge and hours of extended GPS, itâs perfect for long weekends away or days when Iâm constantly on the move.One feature thatâs been a game-changer for me is the one-tap health indicator through the Zepp Health app. It lets me check my heart rate, oxygen levels, and stress in seconds. Great hardware with some UI quirks
I got this watch after 8 years with a few different models of the Garmin Fenix. Overall, it’s not a bad watch, and it does what I expect of it. It tracks everything I need, the screen is amazing, the HR sensor works great (better than my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro), and the battery life is good as well! It’s unfortunate that a company that makes such good hardware doesn’t spend a little more time on the software side. The app is the weakest point. The overall layout isn’t very polished or easy to navigate. There are some inconsistencies in what you can and cannot change, but most importantly, there are a lot of translation and grammar mistakes. When you read some of the health insights, you can’t help but wonder if they were done with the help of Google Translate. It just ruins the whole experience and makes it harder to take any of the data provided seriously.
