Durability and Warmth for Young Explorers: Arctix Kids Snow Pants Review
As a parent gearing up for the winter season, I recently purchased the Arctix Kids Snow Pants with Reinforced Knees for my child, and I am extremely pleased with the quality and durability of these snow pants. Designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor winter activities, these pants provide excellent protection and warmth for children exploring snowy adventures. The reinforced knees on the Arctix Kids Snow Pants are a standout feature, offering extra durability and protection in high-wear areas where kids often kneel or sit in the snow. This added reinforcement ensures that the pants hold up well to rough play and extended use, making them a practical choice for active youngsters.I appreciate the adjustable waist and boot gaiters with grippers, which allow for a customized fit and help to keep snow and cold air out, keeping my child comfortable and warm during outdoor play. The pants also feature convenient pockets for storing essentials like gloves or small toys, adding to their functionality. One of the key benefits of these snow pants is their water and wind-resistant construction, which keeps my child dry and protected from the elements. The thermalock insulation provides excellent warmth without adding bulk, allowing my child to move freely and comfortably while staying cozy in cold weather.Overall, the Arctix Kids Snow Pants with Reinforced Knees have exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, functionality, and performance. I highly recommend these snow pants to parents looking for durable, warm, and well-designed outerwear for their children during the winter months.

    Awesome snow/ski pants
I’m pretty particular and I absolutely love these snow pants for my kids. I have 10-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, and these pants fit both of them perfectly. They’re both somewhat tall and thin. We ordered a size large for them. There’s some room to grow, but we were out in the snow for an hour today and the pants worked perfectly. Kept them dry. The waist has adjustable Velcro, which is awesome. The closure on the front of the pants is easy and secure. Zippered pockets. Seem to be quality and well made. And they both looked cute in them, too! Will order the next size up when we need them.

    They are great!
Good, sturdy snowpants! My daughter is hard on clothes, and she’s been sledding nonstop in our Ohio snow this month. She sometimes slides down without a sled, and the snow pants have held up to whatever she throws at them. They keep her warm and they seem to dry very quickly. They were a little big around the waist, but they do have belt loops so we cinched them up with a belt.

    Love these!
The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because the stitching on the knees is loose. Other than that, warm, waterproof, stylish, and my kids absolutely love them. True to size.

    Fits well, good value
This is my second year with these pants and I just ordered the next size up for next year. I purchased size XS for my 7-year old son last year, and they fit perfectly. This year he was able to wear them again although they were a bit tight in the waist and the rise was a bit short. He is currently 51″ tall and 65 lbs (XS barely fit, small fits better but is a tad long). Thankfully the elastic waist straps gave him a little extra room. He wears an 8 in Carters, Small in Nike and under Armour. These stood up to sledding for about 3 hours which included sitting on a sled covered in water. He has also worn them to ski lessons (lots of falling and he stayed dry). The Columbia pants are more flexible but these perform and fit just as well for a much lower price. We usually get 2 days of snow/ice in the PNW so this price point is reasonable for minimal use. I purchased the adult version and even though they are a bit bulky and stiff, they fit and perform well.

    Warm, good value and tough
Doesn’t cost much, keeps the snow and damp out and heat in. My kid who tends to wear out the knees of all his long pants hasn’t managed to tear these at all yet. Velcro tabs make cinching the waistband a cinch 😉 And they’ve got zippered pockets for whatever kids are gonna carry around in the snow. Of all his snow day kit, I think these pants are the most trouble-free component.

    Really nice
I ordered two pair for my son, one slightly big for this year (and hopefully next) and another pair in a size up. My son is typically in an 8. He is short and skinny. I got the 10/12 for this season. They are a little big but just enough I feel we can get two years. They aren’t bulky but are roomy. He pulled them on over a pair of khaki uniform type shorts with ease. The pants are reinforced and seem really sturdy. We rarely get snow where we live but do get unpleasant temps in winter. These are perfect for a wild child who loves to play outside. I will be ordering a pair (or two) in the men’s sizing for my older son.

    Warm, Adjustable Fit
We haven’t had much of a chance to really test these out yet — we’re going to have to do a snow dance! — I’m impressed with these snow pants so far. They are heavy and warm, and the material and overall craftsmanship seem like it will hold up for multiple seasons.I bought several sizes larger than my son needs in hopes of getting a few seasons out of them and they turned out to be HUGE on him! Fortunately, there are Velcro tabs at the waist that allow you to adjust the size as well as belt loops if that isn’t enough. (We have the tabs snugged down as tight as they will go in these photos!)For sizing reference: my son is 60 inches tall and weighs around 94 lbs. He is tall and slim and very athletic. The snow pants in the photos are size XL and are huge, even with the Velcro tabs at the waist tightened as far as they will go. Although they’re quite large right now, at the rate this kid is growing they’ll be just right by next year!

I recently bought these ThermaTech insulated pants, and they’ve been great! The 85 grams of insulation keeps me warm in a wide range of temperatures, from -20° to +35°, while still being lightweight and low-bulk. The reinforced 600 Denier Ballistic material on the seat, knees, and ankles makes them durable and perfect for daily wear. The adjustable waist gives a comfortable, custom fit, and the O-ring is a nice touch for holding keys or gloves. I also love the boot gaiters with grippers – they keep warmth in and moisture out, which is a huge plus during winter activities. Overall, these pants offer great value and functionality. Highly recommended!

Quality is excellent, however I bought these for my son who is not very “hefty” at all and is shorter than average, but he likes looser fitting clothing so I bought these thinking they’d fit for sure. The waist and length were fine but the thighs are very tight on him and he can’t even sit on his sled comfortably. These are not “hefty”.

Was excited to receive these and the colour was great, what I was hoping for…., unfortunately I sent my son to school with them and after 1 day of wear at school recess’s …. this is how they returned :(( torn out heels! If your kid doesn’t play much or on anything but the softest snow I guess they might be ok… disappointed ☹️

I think these pants fit small, this was a 2T size but it was too small for my boy, he is average height.
