    Very cool watch!
I love this Casio! It’s almost like a baby Pro-Trek! I love the style, functions, scratch resistant recessed mineral glass, great time accuracy, & price. I’m not sure about battery life. It has compass & temperature that I have’nt used yet. Impossibe to read at that angle! (Last picture) Love the band, not so sure about the retainer. Cool backlight too! For $44.00 bucks, I love it, and I’m keeping it!

Great Watch – Fantastic Price – Looks Good and is Sturdy
My son wanted a watch because all his friends had one – so this was more of an impulse purchase for him. At first I wasn’t sure about buying on Amazon so we show roomed around town to look at this watch at retail outlets first to see if this is something he really liked and wanted and to ensure that it would not look too big or small on his wrist and that the enthusiasm for the watch was still there after a few trips. It was. After trying the watch at a few retail outlets and seriously considering buying it offline we noted the price in most cases was between $25.00 and $45.00 more than online and though there were a few negative reviews we decided finally to buy it online.I’m an Amazon Prime member and the watch came within 2-days just as it said it would. It was well packed in an outer box and the watch came in full retail packaging including the original manual. The first thing I did was to ensure it was a new watch and not something someone else had returned. I checked the screen, and back of the watch for scratches – none seen. Checked the band for any obvious usage like worn lettering and such – but of course, nothing of the sort. I was 100% satisfied that this was new and not a refurb/repack or anything else.As with most watches you do need to read the instructions to set the date/time and other features of the watch. The manual is an easy read and setting up the various items like date/time, world clock, and compass were pretty easy. The watch has come great features:- Big, bold and easy to read display. Although my son has great eyesight it’s always nice to have a watch where the numbers are easy to read. The date and day is slightly smaller but the main display shows the time is large and bold and just below that is the seconds.- Stopwatch. My son started playing soccer and liked helping his coach, so the stopwatch was great so when they ran mini-races he would use the stopwatch to time the other kids. He also used the stopwatch to time himself doing his chores in the house!- World time. Not sure why he liked this so much, but he liked the world time feature. Many of his cousins live in Africa, so his world time is set accordingly.- Timer – again a feature that I didn’t think was useful, but he liked it.- Alarm – LOVE this feature on the watch! Previously we would have to wake him up, but he sets the alarm himself and actually wakes up to it.- Compass – something that he won’t use often but is a nice feature on the watch. Whenever we’ve gone out he’ll set the compass to see if it matches what’s shown in the car, to date I don’t think it has ever been off. As you move it does tell you in great detail how many degrees you are as well (for example 33.4 degrees NNW).The size of the watch was perfect for his wrist – I bought this a couple of years ago so he was around 8 at the time. Initially it looked a little big for him, but after some time it seemed to look OK. I suspect it was just not seeing a watch on him until that time. He was never a watch person as a toddler so never got him even those kids Mickey Mouse or superhero watches. The watch edges come up over the face making it very difficult to scratch the face of the watch. I’ve noticed a few small, minor scratches on it but that’s from banging it against something. They are definitely not visible. There are some scratches on the back as well, but again nobody looks at the back and the main reason for these scratches are because he leaves his watch in his drawer along with everything else in it.I actually liked the strap on it, initially I thought that we would have to replace it but it has held up very well with no cracks on it at all. The strap is not cheap plastic but quite a strong rubbery texture to it. I also worried that he may be allergic to the strap but no issues at all. The only noticeable wear and tear is on the strap where some of the lettering has come off, but on the face of the watch none of the lettering has come off or faded. He really hasn’t tested the watch to the 200m depth but has gone swimming and in the hot tub with it on and hasn’t had any problems. He’s taken the watch to school and several adults have commented on how sharp the watch looks. The Casio SGW100-1V is a great watch for adult or child over 8-years of age. We are definitely very happy with the watch and would not hesitate to recommend this to any parent who wants a first watch for their child.

Works well enough to be a daily driver
I bought this watch to use while camping. It looks great, it’s durable, and it’s useful. My one gripe with it is that the compass needs calibration before you can use it, and the temperature sensor needs for the watch to be off your arm to calibrate and measure the correct temperature (between 15 and 20 minutes of sitting in ambient temperature before it can properly measure the temp). Other than those two issues, it’s a great watch, and perfect for anyone looking for a low cost and durable wristwatch.

Full Marks on Readability, Functionality, and Comfort
I looked around a lot for a watch like this, and read a lot of reviews before buying it. I wanted a good, dependable EDC (every day) watch that could time me on runs, hikes, and help me out on the trail with some general direction, all for less than $75. I actually ordered the comparable TIMEX (Expedition Trail T49612) version of this watch and sent it back. The TIMEX was huge, hard to read, and just didn’t look good (greenish markings on huge black rubber case). I seem to keep coming back to CASIO because they seem to just “get it right” for me.What’s the difference between the SGW100B-3V (this watch) and the SGW100-1V, you ask? It’s the same watch, as near as I can tell, except the 3V has a high-quality nylon wristband and the 1V has a rubberized sports band. I chose the 3V because I have not had good experience with rubberized wristbands. They aren’t too comfortable, either. I wore a G-SHOCK for a few years until all the eyelets in the band tore into one, long slit. This didn’t hold my watch on too well, and I lost it in the ocean. The nylon on the 3V is great. It is durable, looks better than the rubber wristband, and is comfortable. It doesn’t pull on my arm hairs like the rubber always did. Now, for the watch itself. Great readability and functionality. I like the how the seconds are displayed on the line under the hour and minutes, so your eyes instantly fall on the 4-digit time. The ILLUMINATOR feature makes all the digits shine, but not the face. This makes the watch extremely readable in the dark, but you’re not going to be able to use it like a mini-flashlight. The 4-button controls are easy to master. Here’s a pro-tip for you: Rather than straining your eyes to read the tiny operation manual, look up the PDF online from Casio and use the zoom to read it like normal text. The digital thermometer is just as others have described. On my wrist, it usually shows about 85 degrees (no matter what the air temp is), but it is accurate when the watch is unworn for 30 minutes or more. The temperature is factory calibrated, but you can check it against another thermometer and adjust it by a few tenths of a degree if you wish. I think the thermometer function is helpful for waking up in a tent or bivouac with your 3V next to you and checking the temp before you crawl out of your bag.The digital compass is excellent. I have checked it against several other commercial and mil-spec compasses and it’s readings are pretty dead on. Even though CASIO says it’s not meant for accurate land navigation, but more for general direction, I feel it could hang in there for some basic land nav. There are 16 directional arrow indicators around the outside of the face for indicating North, so your arrow is less accurate than your digital compass degree reading (360 degrees). The compass needs to be user-calibrated something like every 100 days. This means spinning your watch 360 degrees while it is taking readings. I’m really not sure what the purpose of this is–it might have something to do with ensuring the magnetic sensor has not become inaccurate due to ambient magnetism or a bad bearing. There is also a declination adjustment (look yours up online by ZIP code) so that your watch can show you true North. I play a little “game” with the compass when I’m bored. If I’m somewhere I’ve never been, I’ll mentally guess which direction is North and check myself with the watch. I know; I’m a nerd. The world time feature is great with plenty of city time-zones and a DST toggle. If your friend is overseas and you want to know if it’s too early/late to call, it’s literally ONE button-push away to check. I keep mine on LON (London) time so I can quickly see UTC.Standard stop watch. Elapsed, split time, and two-finisher capabilities. The buttons are pretty easy to push, and this helps with reliable start and stop. We’ve all been there, with our thumbnail on a tiny metallic button, when we tell our friend, “Ready… Set… Go! Wait, I mean, Go! Now!”Standard timer. Keeps going when viewing other modes.Four alarms WITH snooze function. Not bad!Overall, the watch just looks good. I would say it gives off a hiker or possibly military-type look. The different colored markings on the case and the silver/grey bezel kind of catch the eye. You can tell it’s not a cheap drug-store watch just by the look of it (which is more than you can say for some of the CASIO styles). If you’re not used to a large watch, you’ll think this is pretty big. It’s fine for me. I do have to lift it slightly up on my arm when getting into the front-leaning rest position (push-ups) or else it digs into the top of my hand, so that’s something to consider.I have three minor nit-picks of the watch, but not enough to dock a star-rating on a stellar watch:- You can only scan through the time-zones in WT mode in one direction.- I can’t remember which mode this was, but at one point I was adjusting a value on the watch and the positive (+) button was lower right and the negative (-) direction was upper right. This seemed backwards to me.- The wristband is attached the case by a pin which is held in place by a small steel buckle that is hinged to the case. Most other CASIO cases have a giant protrusion that encloses the strap and pin. It makes me wonder if the connection is a little weaker than on other CASIO watches; but time will tell.Overall, this is a great watch. The 200M rating is reassuring for any aquatic activities. The strap is comfortable and the watch itself is surprisingly light. I bought this watch thinking I would only put it on when wearing jeans, work clothes, or clothes for hiking, but I’ve ended up wearing it every day since I bought it. I would not wear it with coat and tie, however–that’s kind of where I draw the line.

Good Entry Level watch, minimizes liokingbat my phone
The watch is decent quality and was a good price. My issue is with the instructions- there are so many features with this watch which are to like. Compass (haven’t figured out how to use that or calibrate it yet, hope I don’tget lost in the garage today) and the temperature feature. The light could be brighter. There is something about being the person lighting up a dark movie theater with your watch light that makes a guy chuckle. The watch band is my only issue, it can feel uncomfortable after a bit. It does what it’s supposed to do, give accurate time.

  10. by Top funciona todas as funções perfeitamente!!! 🚀

Exatamente oq eu esperava!!! Gostei da compra!
