I personally don’t get the hype, when a bunch of strong does the same job, but my lad loves this so I’m happy he’s happy. I can see it getting boring quickly mind, and use returning to random string traps everywhere lol.

I got this Chrono Mission game for my 6 year old, as I thought it looked quite fun and active, instead of a regular board game.Firstly, you need a screwdriver and 3 x AAA batteries to operate the ‘bomb’, and a decent amount of space to set up the course. You get grippy clamps, which need to be attached to suitable pieces of furniture, so the blue string can feed through them, and act as the ‘lasers’. (see my photos – I used our dining chairs, and my partner’s filing cabinet)You also get Object cards, which you scatter underneath the ‘lasers’, and need to be picked up by your child, as they make their way to diffuse the ‘bomb’. If they touch one of the strings, then they get a warning sound, and also their time is reduced. (see my video) They have to get to the ‘bomb’ and press the ‘STOP’ button before time runs out, to be successful.It’s quite fun, my little girl did enjoy it for a good while, but unfortunately soon got bored! We altered the course a few times, so the string would sit lower and closer, making it a bit more tricky, but overall it just wasn’t really worth the hassle of setting it all up, in my opinion.It’s a game we’ll play every now and then, but it’s not a new family favourite for us.It’s not as good as I expected it to be, unfortunately!

Chrono Mission is an incredibly engaging adventure spy game for kids. My children absolutely love navigating through the ‘laser’ strings to complete their missions. The thrill of defusing the bomb without touching the strings keeps them on their toes and encourages teamwork and quick thinking. It’s a fantastic way to get them moving and thinking strategically. A great addition to any game collection.

This is quite fun, my 7 year old grandson and I have played this on a few occasions now and whilst he likes it, I am not so sure I enjoy having to set it up.The parts are well enough made, but are quite fiddly to set up, as you have to use items in your home to clamp to, to make a course that is both fun but hard enough not to be easy. This is made easier by using things like dining chairs to move and clamp to.The game itself is similar to what you see in movies with lasers that you need to navigate to complete your mission, picking up cards on the way.The lasers are in the form of strings that you span across the room, so they are always visible.It’s quite fun for him as he is a lit more mobile than I am, so if I create a set of lasers that I can navigate with a little effort, he finds it much to easy, so we pretty much leave the game to him.It’s quite a good value game considering the enjoyment had so far.4 stars
