When Ellery moved to New York with her boyfriend, she thought they’d live happily ever after in their small New York apartment. She never thought he’d pack his bags and leave because he “needed space”.
With her newfound single status and fear of being alone, Ellery buries herself in her artwork and paintings until one night she helps a mysterious intoxicated stranger get home safely. Little did she know the mysterious stranger is none other than CEO and millionaire Connor Black. After finding Ellery in his kitchen the next morning and assuming she broke his #1 rule about sleepovers, he becomes intrigued, not only by her stubbornness and defiance, but by her kindness.
Connor Black, emotionally dead and damaged, stemming from a personal tragedy, made a vow to never love or fall in love with a woman, until Ellery Lane walked into his life by accident. After she opens up and shows him her world, Connor starts to feel emotions and feelings he never knew existed. Despite the rumors and warnings regarding Connor Black and his use and misuse of women, Ellery finds herself being drawn into his world.
Ellery knows they can never be together because she is harboring a deep secret that could destroy Connor emotionally forever. Join Connor and Ellery as they embark on a journey of courage, love and strength. Will it be enough to save them?

Mr. Black can be my forever!!
Fanfreakingtastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!I absolutely loved and adored this book. It is definitely on of my favorites for 2013. Once I was able to read this book without any interruptions I devoured it in a day for the most part. This book tells the story of Ellery and Connor. Ellery recently experiences a breakup in the beginning of the book and doesnt really want to date anyone. Connor is a millionaire CEO, controlling, manwhore who doesnt do sleepovers. The way they met is kind of scary in a way. Ellery sees him at the club drunk as a skunk and decides to be a good Samaritan and help him home and take care of him. Who in the world does that????? Only Ellery and only in books. Most of the time the females get on my last nerves romance novels but that was not the case with Forever Black. I loved that Ellery had a mind of her own and she didnt give in to Connor just because “he said so”. She challenged him like no one had before. That along with her sweet kind heart made Connor fall for her. I also enjoyed reading about their dates and how he would just pop up at the places she went to. It kind of reminded me of Christian Grey without the whole Dom/Sub thing. Its something about those controlling millionaires that gets my blood pumping! Ellery’s history and story also hit home for me and I can relate to what she experienced growing up. I dont blame her for not sharing her secret right away and I was LIVID when her ex-boyfriend Kyle spilled the beans to Connor and even more PISSED off when Connor walked out on her. Instead of consoling her he walked out on her. How can you care for someone and just walk away so easily? I would not have been so quick to forgive him for that. Call me crazy but I even loved the arguments that they had after everything hit the fan. I was on Ellery’s side the entire time. Connor was too quick to dismiss Ellery and send her back on a plane. He was cruel at times and I probably would have just left him alone for good but of course that would not have made for such a good story. LOL!!I loved the ending of this book and the epilogue. I felt really emotional during the beach scenes. Even though Connor had his controlling moments he really had a sweet side. I got a cavity from that sunset scene because it was just that darn sweet! There is nothing like a good happy ending to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. If you havent already…………… READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

Good Read that Hit Close to Home
This was a really great read! It made me laugh, made me cry, and at some points made me want to through my kindle across the freaking room. Just what I look for in a book!!!!Ellery Lane and Connor Black made such a great couple. I loved their interaction with each other. Ellery cracked me up. She was sometimes dramatic, had the occasional over reaction, was stubborn as hell. She had lost so much in her short lifetime and gone through so much, she was tired of fighting and she really just wanted to live each day like it could be her last.I really liked how the friendship developed between them and the chemistry they had. They were so great together, but yet they bickered so much because they were both so stubborn and strong-minded and didn’t let each other get away with crap.Connor was so attentive and caring of Ellery. Wanting to take care of her. I liked him and how he “stalked” her. He had some of his own battles to overcome though in order for things to work out between them, but he definitely won me over.”Memories are our way of holding onto the things we love, and I plan on making the most beautiful memories with you.” (Forever Black)Awe…..It drove me freaking crazy (in a good way) how they would be fine and then they are mad and walking away and then back together again, and then apart again and then back together again….you catch my drift. But Conner is a sweet stalker and can always track her down and he makes sure we have our HEA.”I was simply a man with no meaning until I met you and I’m proud of whom I’ve become because of you.” (Forever Black)There were some parts that made me tear up and then parts that put that goofy grin on my face. The only thing that bothered me really about the book was in the first half I felt like there were no contractions used. It was kind of weird as I noticed it more and more but during the second half I didn’t really notice it anymore. On a serious note, the book does touch on some serious issues. Cancer is the main one. Many people have been affected or know someone who has been affected by it. For me the book did hit close to home and brought out a lot of emotions. There are also some references to suicide and alcoholism. So this might be particularly hard to read for some, or who knows, possibly therapeutic for some as it tells you a story of two people who wont let anything stop them from their HEA.

Beautiful Story! Must read
I read this book in one day & I didn’t read reviews nor did I read much of the description. I had about heard about this series from friends that it’s a really good read.I like to start reading a book blind, so to speak, I don’t want to know much I want to see if I can predict events as I read and I like to be surprised. This book was not predictable at all & I love that!I felt so many emotions that the writer has you feeling in such a strong way. It was almost, at one small moment toward the end, as if you could see the writer herself or feel her emotions that may have taken over her as she wrote a certain page. This is a beautiful love story that brings up a real life challenge & it could happen to anyone. Connor & Ellery have love that holds strong.Yes, they will fight and now that I’m done reading this first book I’ve read people in reviews mentioning the fighting off & on.In my opinion that’s expected in the situation they find themselves in.I couldn’t imagine how hard that must be and this writer kept her book real! It wasn’t just going to be a smooth road going through this terrible battle it was real life struggle.Connor’s unconditional love through thick & thin is so beautiful. I cried so much and wasn’t expecting that at all, but it was perfect. Connor is sexy & protective, Ellery is independent and strong, and together they bring out the best in eachother. It’s so beautiful!I’m starting the second book now, Forever You, and I’m excited to see this new beginning in their lives!

So young to have cancer. Thank goodness she met Conner to be by her side and support her. Hopefully the imunotherapy worked and killed the cancer. My husband is going to go through it, so was good reading about it.

“Forever Black” Forever Trilogy book 1 by Sandi Lynn**Spoiler Alert**Even though Ellery lost so much during her 23 years of life, she lives her life to the fullest. She loves deeply, and she will never apologise for being the woman she is. If her heartbreak ever taught her anything, it was to live life every day as though it were her last. She has a secret but one that she won’t allow to rule her life.Connor is pleasantly surprised by seeing the beautiful woman in his apartment and can’t for the life of him remember the night before and why she would still be there. His women know the rules, so why is she disobeying him? Little does he know that her reasons for being there, has nothing to do with his “no sleepover” rule but something of pure selflessness. She intrigues him. Her spunk and honesty are refreshing.Ellery sees him for the man he is and can’t help fall in love, but once he knows her secret, it will all be over. He already said they could never be more, so why worry? But deep down, she knows….Will they find their HEA, or will her secret destroy everything before it even begins? This story has so much angst, heartbreak, sadness, forgiveness, unconditional love, and so much more. It’s so sad there wasn’t a duel POV. I would have loved to have read Connor’s thoughts. He was dealing with so much pain of his own. Can’t wait to read what comes next!5 â¤ï¸ ‘s
