Forever Wild: Wildcat Hockey, Book 5

$0.00

Hockey is everything. My game, my team—that’s all that matters. But an accident during the playoffs leaves me sidelined and puts my future in question.

With my teammates off enjoying their vacations, my only plan this summer is to heal and come back stronger than ever. No distractions. No babysitters. I want to be left alone.

Unfortunately, Everly Kent has never cared about what I want or need.

She barges in like a storm. Stubborn, sassy, beautiful. I don’t want her in my space, but she’s determined to take care of me.

Before I know it, she’s under my skin in the best way possible and I’m bending all my rules for her.

Including one I never thought I’d break: falling for my teammate’s little sister.

    Jack and Everly
Hockey romance ✔️ Age gap ✔️ Strong Female Main Character ✔️ This book hit all the check marks! I loved how bossy Everly was and how that was exactly what Jack needed while he was wallowing in his self pity during his recovery from his car accident. Loved the chemistry and the perfect amount of spice throughout. Great read, great characters and I only wish the epilogue was further in the future to have a glimpse of what Jack and Everly was like after marriage.

    Wildcats Forever!!
It’s always so bittersweet when a series comes to an end. This one was the perfect story to end on. Jack and Everly had the best relationship progression. The banter in the beginning was so fun and the grumpy/sunshine personality conflicts created great chemistry between the main characters. The family feel between the teammates and their significant others created such a feel-good vibe and it’s always nice to be able to catch up with the previous couples from the earlier books. Great closure for the Wildcats family!

    Jack + Everly = FOREVER!!!!
I knew I was gonna love this book, and it lived up to every expectation I had. I did a reread of Wild About You, because that’s Tyler and Piper story–our main female character, Everly, is Tyler’s little sister that comes to live with him in that book. It was good to see her as a character during that time, and then see her now years later. And to see how Jack and Everly’s relationship developed, wow it was just so good. Rebecca Jenshak didn’t shy away from the age difference. I loved that the characters actually acknowledged the different places they were in life. I also loved the connection that they built through learning more about each other. Their path was a little messy, but I don’t feel like it was typical of what you see in these types of books. I also really enjoyed how different people reacted to finding out about them.I just loved seeing all the couples from the Wildcats, and seeing Everly and Jack’s Journey in this one. I have really had so much fun with this series, and this amazing group of friends. I think one of the best parts about this group is the relationships they’ve developed with each other. It’s very much a found family, and I would definitely want to be a part of it! I’m pretty curious about Nick and Aiden, and I’m hoping that there will be some type of spinoff series with them. Also, that Flynn Holland reference and connection definitely had me really excited, because I am dying for the next Holland Brothers book as well! I just feel like Rebecca Jenshak’s books keep getting better and better. I sincerely appreciate the different things she does with her characters. They are realistic, but also have an emotional intelligence when handling situations. They aren’t perfect, but they tend to stop and think about things. They tend to be good examples of what you would want to happen in the situations that arise. It isn’t just cliche romance stuff happening, and I sincerely appreciate it. I’m definitely recommending this one!!

    Love Everly and Jack!
“Today’s bikini is red. Appropriate since I should absolutely stop looking at her.”Everly and Jack! Finally! It feels like it’s been 84 years waiting for this book but it’s totally worth the wait!Jack is the Captain of the Wildcats and Everly is his teammates younger sister. After his accident, Jack needed time to recover and since it’s the summer, almost everyone was gone. Lucky for him, Everly stayed while she’s getting ready for her internship. He doesn’t feel like being around people as he recovers but he also can’t seem to get enough of Everly.Jack’s always been this grumpy guy that she kinda butt heads with. But as they spend more time together, her in his pool watching him workout and occasionally helping him tackle his million of emails, she realizes that she actually likes him. She’s leaving for the summer and he’s technically off limits because he’s her brother’s teammate, she figured they can just have a little summer fling, she just has to convince Jack of her brilliant idea!I love their banter! Jack comes off really grumpy but he’s really the biggest teddy bear. Everly always felt that she needed to prove herself and I love how Jack makes sure that she knows how amazing she is. They really are perfect for each other. So sad to see the series end but this is a great way to say goodbye.A sweet and spicy, forced proximity, age gap hockey romance between the grumpy hockey captain and his teammate’s sassy little sister!

    Wildly Good
I loved this story. Grumpy/sunshine is my favorite trope and this didn’t disappoint. I haven’t read the other books in this series so maybe I missed a more in depth look at Everly’s past and why she was/is that way but I feel like it could have been addressed or gone into more. Also some of the timeline and story seemed to jump around inconsistently but otherwise good book.

    jacks book!
I had been waiting for jacks story since book 1! Him and everly are such a unique and wonderful couple despite their differences! Brothers teammate, age gap, and grumpy/sunshine tropes! Loved this hockey romance!

    cute easy read!
Nothing earth shattering or out of this world. Definitely didn’t feel like an age gap, besides jack I don’t think Everlys age was even mentioned. The grumpy sunshine parts hit spot on especially in the beginning. The banter, and jealousy parts were great! It was just very surface level, not too deep or angsty. Over all a cute and easy hockey romance!

To begin with, the book is not bad, but after reading the rest of the saga, for me this was the weakest of the 5 books. The reason is that I couldn’t connect with Everly, who we know from Tyler’s book, she arrives at the age of 17 and it’s supposed to have been a long time between her introduction and this book but for me she still had the same mentality of a teenager instead of a woman who has already graduated from college. Another thing that gave me the ick is the fact that Jack has known her since he was a teenager and saw her grow up all those years, and for certain clues in other books Jack was already interested in her (whatever he realized it or not), when he is already an adult man, normally age differences don’t bother me, but Jack knew her since she was a minor, so that gave me the ick, as if he had waited for her to be legal. For me these characters should not have ended together, instead of giving the story with a stranger to Ash it should have been for Jack.I read the other books in a week and with this one it took me the rest of the month and part of the next one to read it, and I forced myself to finish it to be able to give my opinion but even then I couldn’t connect with this couple, a shame because I love this characters separately not as a couple. But looking forward for Rebeca’s others books.

Rebecca Jenshak’s books are what got me into romance books. Instant swoon and after the first one I rapidly devoured every book she had released in just a couple short weeks. I’m talking reading multiple books a day. Waiting for this book felt excruciating but it was totally worth it!Jenshak is a queen at writing badass female characters and Everly another stunning example of this! The way she is fierce, stubborn and driven while also being kind and caring is perfectly balanced. There are few things I find sexier than watching a grump fall hopelessly for a woman and Jack absolutely delivered! While this book is lower on the spice scale than my usual, a bit more of a slow burn, this love story is so swoon worthy it more than made up for that. Can’t wait to see what Jenshak has up her sleeves next!

The perfect ending. This book was everything and more! I’m so glad to see everly, and Jack finally get their story. It was so worth the wait. The chemistry was always there between these two. So I’m happy they finally got to explore it.I loved every one of these books in the series. Each of the characters was amazing. The storyline in each book and what brought them all together. The team, the lads, the girls all amazing. It’s definitely worth reading. I will miss these characters and these books. It is a perfect book to end the series. Loved them all as a whole. Do I secretly want more… yes, always.

It is really interesting to see how Everly and Jack go from acquaintance to friends and then more. Jack is really impressive himself: always in charge of everyone around him.
