Do not waste your money
This is an expensive piece of trash. The first one broke and said to return the pixie to the lantern, she hadn’t even had the zip ties removed from her, so we sent that one back. We got the replacement and my daughter finally got to use it. She ran those 4 initial AA batteries in an hour or 2 (this thing will cost you a TON in batteries if you can manage to get one that works) so I grabbed 4 brand new batteries and loaded it back up, and…….nothing, no power. Ok, so maybe there was a dead battery in that bunch. So I opened a brand new pack of batteries and replaced the already new berries in the lantern and….. Again, nothing.At this point, my daughter is completely distraught, she saw this thing in an Amazon Christmas catalog that they sent me. Never again will I allow them to see this catalog. So now I get to see if they will take another return because she wants to pay with this thing so badly. Save your money and sanity, avoid the headache and just DO NOT hit that Add to cart or Buy Now button, get a dog instead, that will lead you to less frustration then this lantern will.

Do not buy!
My daughter was really excited to have received it. Unfortunately, just after one week of play (not even continuous play for that matter), it completely stopped working! We thought it may be the batteries, so we changed them out with brand new name brand batteries and it still wouldn’t turn on. Needless to say, she was super bummed. The idea of the toy is cool, but execution is poor. Complete waste of money. I will be returning it.

My Granddaughter loves it!
She won’t put it down! She has been playing with it since Christmas and thoroughly enjoys it. I’m not saying she is on it 8 hours a day but when she isn’t busy she loves to play it. It can burn up batteries so make sure you have a pile!

Did not work at all
I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas and she was so excited but when we we tried to set it up it would not work. I contacted the company who sent me reset instructions, that didn’t work, the company sent me more email instructions, they didn’t work, the company said to remove the SIMS card and that was complicated and still didn’t work. I sent it back on Dec. 31 and have not heard or received anything from the company. I have emailed them several times and called and no one answers. I am very disappointed. It was not a cheap toy and I have a disappointed granddaughter. 1/22/25 Finally got a replacement and I hope it works.

Really cool – wasn’t expecting the doll to pop up!
I bought this for my friend’s daughter who is 8. She thought the lantern was really pretty and was very engaged when the pixie showed up on screen. She was really surprised when the doll popped out of the top of the lantern. She could figure it all out herself so it was easy to use. She spent a good deal of time exploring the different games and activities in the lantern, but what her mom and I really loved is that it came with a pretty doll with a backstory and we saw her using her imagination to create more story and to bring her into her world. When she put the doll back in the lantern, she was really excited by the “pixie points” and to use them to play more games. We were very impressed overall with how much play was in the toy.

Poor battery life
Great fun toy with different ways to play. Unfortunately the batteries only last two days of play. Couldnât they come up with a way to charge it ? This toy cost a lot as it is so paying for a pack of batteries every week is not fun !

Overpriced and Waste of money
It was the main thing our daughter wanted for Christmas.Box arrived in good shape, toy looked perfect when it was opened but it would not turn on… tried new batteries and still would not turn on. Now we are waiting on a replacement to arrive and it will not be here until Jan 3-6…. For a $70 toy you would expect that it would be packed better… there is no foam no cardboard to hold anything in place and I suspect it was internally damaged in transit. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different toy.

Great toy! We got this for our 6 year old for Christmas and it was even better than we expected. Sheâs had hours of fun so far, and likes that she can take the fairy out of the lantern to play with as well. Not just a toy that gets opened and forgotten about after the initial fun. 10/10
