Customers say
Customers praise the countertop oven for its good cooking performance and ease of use. They find it cooks well, bakes well, and air fries well. However, some customers dislike the blinking light and door hinge. Opinions vary on heat level, size, and clock feature.

Great all round
Recently our oven broke and while we waited for parts there was a need to have an oven for things larger than the air fryer we had could hold. This combination is perfect, cooks a frozen pizza if we need to, can roast chicken (parts, haven’t tried a whole bird yet) and works. On the down side the door gets blazing hot, you have to constantly remind everyone to not place things on top that may catch fire or melt and to keep hands from the door.Oh and the cable is very short making it very hard to place due to it’s size (as big as a large microwave).Still my favorite air fryer oven combo..

Good quality
This is my second Oster counter top oven. This one is a little over an inch smaller than my other one which does create some problems using backing pans and sheets that I already have. This heats up fast and cooks beautifully. The air fryer feature is great for using both racks at once so I get twice as much cooked at the same time. I’m very happy with this little oven. You can cook alot, quickly, without heating up the kitchen, compared to a conventional oven. It’s a good quality product made by a name I trust.

Updated –Discontinued unit – Cannot be replaced by warranty
We have owned this oven for a number of years . In fact this is our third unit. The units are almost identical. Except see below.First the pros. The display is very nice showing the temperature and the time left. The Front panel is nicer because the individual buttons are lighted up when they are being used and you can easily see what options you have pressed.. It’s a little cleaner or modern layout than the original. There are now three rack positions instead of two.Now the cons: First the oven is smaller. The dimensions given are misleading. The older units extended out the back to accommodate larger pizzas. The new unit is flat. Another thing that contributes to a smaller capacity is the inside wall molding for the rack positions. The old unit had flat side panels with tracks added for holding the racks. In the old oven I could place 3 loave pans at once, now I can only do 2. The old unit had 2 baking racks where the new has only one rack but the air fry rack could be used as a baking rack. The new racks are also shorter than the old racks. Finally. There is no clock. The display is beautiful, so why remove the clock??? They have introduced an “Air Fry” into the unit but the fan is still on the side of the unit instead of the top which would be better for the air fry. So it still is a convection oven and not really an Air Fry oven.Bottom Line. It still is one of the largest countertop ovens and it really does a good job. Just a little tweaking on their part could have made this an outstanding unit.Update: The door spring broke.. Oster offered my money back . I was able to repair the spring by taking off the cover. I still like this oven. It is still being sold on Amazon . Just a warning about what to expect if you buy one and it breaks.

Can toast bake broil air fry warm
I liked the large size oven because I can even bake a large cake in it and not be heating entire kitchen or house!

Flashing light is “standard”
I have used one version or another of this oven for years. This one has the flashing light upon which so many reviewers comment. You would think a company that has been around for as long as Sunbeam/Oster would understand that just about ANY flashing light means that some kind of user interaction is required. This light is extremely annoying because I cannot NOT see it every time I go in my kitchen. So, I ordered one of those little doohickies that plug into the electric socket that has a built-in on/off switch. Now, every time I use my oven, I simply flip the switch on that device and the oven is ready to use. Aside from this, I am fairly happy with the oven although it is somewhat difficult to clean, as other reviewers have mentioned, and the temperature does fluctuate more than I would like. (To aid in cleaning, I line the bottom of mine with a silicone oven mat.) The toaster on all my previous Oster ovens always put out great toast when set on 4 (which is the default) — I used that setting on this oven and I had two pieces of black cardboard that were so burned they couldn’t even be scraped off. So now I have to remember to set it on 3, and even that produces toast that is pretty dark. Not burned, but pretty dark and a bit dry. But at 2, the toast is not toasted enough, so I have just learned to live with it like this. And, of course the oven does get very hot, as others have mentioned, but I expect that from just about any toaster oven I have ever used, so this isn’t really an issue — just something about which you should be aware so you don’t touch it or place anything on top of it that could be damaged by high heat. On the plus side, I like this toaster oven mostly because it is the largest I have seen. I can actually use a full-size pizza pan to make a 16″ pizza. As far as I can tell, this toaster oven is the only one that can do that. So, even with all of the disadvantages, I still keep coming back to this oven and I pass my old ones down to my kids. One of my kids still has a version of this oven that must be, oh my goodness, at least 12 or 15 years old and it just keeps chugging along. In this world of planned obsolescence and throw-away junk, it is not every toaster oven that has that kind of longevity.
