These are great wireless accordion microphones
These work as accordion mics! Decent external wireless pickup mics for accordions are hard to find. Even though these are intended as lapel mics, they do the trick and sound good.The fact that the two transmitters go to a single receiver which requires no external power source is super convenient for many performance situations. You can use these with a battery powered amp/speaker and amplify your accordion wirelessly without requiring an electrical outlet at all â ideal for busking. The transmitters have a long range and can be used in strolling performances. In most cases, you will need an eighth inch to quarter inch adapter.For the keyboard side on a piano accordion, use velcro tape to attach one of the transmitters to the lower part of the grille, with the microphone pointing upwards. The high notes will be louder than the lower notes, but overall, the volume will sound more stable over the range of the keyboard than it would if you were to put the transmitter at the top facing down, or in the middle facing toward the keyboard.On the button side, thread a velcro strap through the clip of the other transmitter and strap it to the outer side of the bass strap, so the microphone is pointing upwards. Cut the velcro strap to shorten it if needed so it fits snugly around the bass strap.If you can find a black acrylic paint pen, I recommend painting over the blue lights on the transmitters; youâll still be able to see the lights to know whether the transmitters are connecting, but theyâll be less glaringly bright on stage.You can use these mics for recording also, but it would only make sense to do so in a live performance setting. For studio recording, it would make more sense to use stationary mics.There are a few limitations to be aware of:1) You cannot adjust the input gain, only the output gain. If there is noticeable distortion, there is no way to turn down the input gain, youâll have to find a way to mount the transmitters differently. When I play on the bass side, the receiver indicates that there is some distortion, but itâs subtle enough that it probably wouldnât be noticed in a performance setting. The sound quality is actually quite good.2) You cannot adjust the volume of the two mics independently. If the keyboard side is too quiet, the only options are to mess with the EQ on the amp/speaker/mixer or to try adjusting the mic placement.3) These mics are omnidirectional, which I think is idea for this kind of setup, but youâll have to be extra careful about feedback issues.I only just finished setting up and testing these mics, with guidance from a sound engineer friend. havenât used them in performance yet. I will update this review if I encounter any issues. So far they seem like a great option for accordionists to know about.

Work Well
At first I was a little upset that it did not work with my video camera and by playing around with it. I found out that the receiver has to be on one stereo and not mono. Meaning it have to be only one file coming out and not two. Enjoy the fact that if I go to far that the Transmitter is still recording.

Issues with the battery
I was really excited to purchase these as Iâve seen them around and Iâve heard great things about the RODE brand! When I purchased these, I was looking at it as a good investment for the money to get getter quality equipment for my videography business. I purchased them to test out at a wedding I had coming up to film. I was especially impressed with their ability to still get audio regardless of if the connection was disrupted from the main receiver (with the correct settings in place). I charged them up and tested them out and found that the battery was dying fairly quickly (within maybe 20 minutes) of them being on which was concerning. I decided to test them out as a backup at the wedding in case the battery died. Sure enough, the wedding rolls around and the battery dies within the first 10 minutes of being on. This wedding was after the 30 day return time period so Iâm very disappointed Iâm not able to get my money back and Iâm left with mics that wont last enough to be reliable for my work. Although Iâve heard so many good things about the RODE brand, Iâm hesitant to purchase another product of theirs from this first experience with their equipment.

Sound amazing, stinks that you have to order a special cord to use both mics at same time when vlogging on the phone! Other than that great! But itâs a $75 cord to have to order from rode! 4 stars if it came with cord 5

Great for Insta360
I ordered these and have been using them and they are pretty flawless. I would highly recommend this brand and seller to anybody looking for a microphone to add to the Insta360. Itâs easy convenient and lightweight in the battery. Life is reasonable.

Los micrófonos son estupendos. Su calidad es muy buena, pero destaco su sensibilidad para capturar el sonido. No he tenido que aumentar su ganancia (-30 dB) al contrario, creo que deberÃa ser más baja porque a veces la voz revienta el lÃmite de dB.El instructivo es muy pobre pero es mejor leer sobre ellos en la página oficial de RÃDE. Los micrófonos se pueden configurar mejor desde la app o en la computadora. Les puedes sacar más provecho y configurarlos se diversas formas según tus necesidades.Por otro lado, puedes usarlos como boom. Dada su sensibilidad puedes capturar todos los sonidos del exterior.La única desventaja que les veo es que son muy pesadas para colocarlos en la ropa a la hora de hacer una entrevista. El peso hace que la playera, blusa o camisa se doblen. Por último, no me gusta que son muy grandes y se ven feos en pantalla.Lo ideal es comprar un Lavalier más pequeño y conectarlos a los RÃDE, para poder ocultarlos durante una entrevista.

This version is not working properly and I keep having issues with the cables both for charging but also to connect them to my laptop. Seems to be an issue with this particular rode device.
