    Great sandals
I have worn Teva sandals for14 years. I like the fit with 3 adjustable straps, the color choices, the fact that I can wear them with socks if I want to, the cushioning, the grip, the arch support, the fact that I can wear them as shower sandals if I want to, and that they are secure slippers in the house. The sandals also look good with tights. These shoes are so economical for what they do. The quality is excellent.

A comparison of various styles of Teva sandals…
My favorite Columbia sandals are almost 10 years old, starting to wear out, and have sadly been discontinued. So I have been on a mission to find a pair of new sandals that I like just as well, and I finally discovered the Teva Tirra. I have high arches and an ongoing issue with plantar fascitis, so finding comfortable sandals with enough arch support is tough. I have a pair of very expensive Chacos that have an awesome arch, but the diamond cut pattern of the foot bed really irritates the sole of my foot and I can’t wear them for an entire day.I ended up ordering several different styles of Tevas (as well as numerous other brands), and returned all but one pair. I ordered the Teva Tirra, Tirra Leather, Terra Fl, Verra, Hurricane, and Numa. The Tirra Leather has an awesome foot bed and great arch support, but runs a 1/2 size smaller than the rubber/nylon version, and the inside of the straps aren’t cushioned nearly as well, which was the deal breaker for me. The Terra Fl has a slightly lower arch than the Tirra, and after 15-20 minutes of walking around inside my house, my foot with the plantar fascitis was bothering me. The strap cushion on those was equally good though. The Verra is super cute and the straps are nicely cushioned, but the arch is almost non-existent. The Hurricane has scratchy straps and a minimal arch. The Numa had a minimal arch as well. When I initially ordered the Tirra sandals, I ordered a size 8.5, which is my typical shoe size. They seemed like they fit well at first, but the front of the ankle strap hurt after wearing them for about 15 minutes inside my house. On a hunch, I decided to order another pair a half size smaller. They’re an absolutely perfect fit, and the ankle strap doesn’t come up as high and isn’t irritating at all like it was on a pair a 1/2 size larger.I wore the sandals yesterday to our local amusement park and walked/stood for 11 hours straight. They definitely passed my test for comfort and support. They’re not super fashionable, but definitely prettier than some other types of sport sandals. I bought the Simply Taupe color, which is neutral and goes with most of my summer clothes. I’ll probably eventually buy a black pair as well, but I’m waiting for them to go on sale. We’re taking a 10 day trip to Disney World later this year, and these will definitely be my main shoe for wearing while we’re there.

    great fit
we look for comfort, stability and reliability in our shoes. check all. I own a pair of Teva Hurricane Xlt2, and they’re great, wider than these in toe box, so I wanted a smaller look. Those are in an off-white color, and I’ll share, I stay away from black sandals in summer because they are hotter absorbing sun. I got the taupe multi color in Tirra because reviews were similar to Hurricane. One thing about these more expensive Teva’s…They are much more comfortable than the lower end/cost ones. The footbed is very nice feeling and feels like good protection throughout the summer heat. they also walk nice! With Teva’s, I also find the first time you wear them, you might feel uncomfortable, so stop right there, and start readjusting the straps. If rubbing, loosen them and gradually with some wear, your feet with adjust. may have to repeat tight-loose and light walking for a couple of days. but soon, you will find the comfort of the straps and never have to adjust again. I leave my straps on the loose side, but not loose enough to slide around in the sandal. my feet stay put and the sandals provided great stability. if I hit a hiking mode, I may have to tighten them down a bit, but not probable I’d even have to do that. I typically wear 8.5-9M in most shoes, sneakers, but during winter my feet need more room in toes. these sandals have a more narrow toe box, but are perfect for an open toed shoe. I’m older, but whether running errands or picnic, these sandals will be preferred, because they are rugged enough but don’t quite resemble the work horse that they really are. they’re cool in temperature and style. expensive but once you are fitted, you’re hooked.

    Breaking in
Great quality and very comfortable once they are broken in. Recommendation to wear for short hikes until broken in. Size was perfect for my wide feet. I had no issues with slipping while wear. Light weight and I wear them pretty much all the time. Style was fine for what I use them for. Can be worn with jeans and look ok.

    Versatile, fun but also neutral
These are good all-purpose sandals. The colors are varied enough to be interesting while having enough of a neutral base to go with most outfits. They are not what I’d call dressy, but I have fair skin so they don’t stand out much on my feet either. The soles have a pleasant spring and they are comfortable for paved surfaces and trails. My feet don’t hurt when I’ve been wearing them awhile. The angle of the ankle strap is a little awkward with the way it sits on my foot, but I think that’s just the way my ankle is and not necessarily something everyone will experience. It doesn’t bother me though. The adjustability of both ankle and toe straps make it easy to get a comfortable and supportive fit.

    arch support
Quick delivery. Excellent cushioning and arch support. Had to downsize to an 8 medium, and it fit perfectly in length and width. Arch support exactly where it needed to be. This is an initial review upon receipt of the item so I cannot address longevity. However, the Teva’s I have owned in the past lasted more than one summer and these are much sturdier and appear more durable.

I bought these sandals on the advice of a friend, took them with me to NewZealand, and started wearing them there for the first time. I am so utterly impressed with this sandal, that I will buy another pair as soon as I get back, and store them away, just in case the model disappears. They are rugged, durable, have a great gripping tread, have a good arch support, good ankle support, and the foot bed never gets greasy making your feet slide around. This being said, I have not worn them in water, so I can’t say how they perform when wet. The adjusting straps are great, and allow for a comfortable fit for every foot. I have done countless hours of hiking in them (from brand new out of the box) and have not had any discomfort, no rubbing, and no blisters! I have hiked over rocks, gravel, earth, grass, and even wear them for hours walking around the city. After all of those hours of walking, the foot beds do not have any odor at all! I met someone with pronounced bunions who asked to try them on, and was amazed at how well they fit! They ordered a pair that day! Do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to a pair of these! In fact, buy two, and store one away 😉

These sandals are pretty with the mixed pastel colours. They have a nice thick, soft and flexible sole, with a subtle arch support. The uppers are very comfortable, easily adjustable, and are great for my narrow feet. That being said, because of the triple velcro, I feel like they would be great for a wider foot too. They have great tread as well! These sandals, from out of the box and onto my feet, are a dream to wear! I will buy these for the rest of my life! You could hike all day in them comfortably!
