Great book! Very interesting!! It’s got the human element!
This is a very interesting book. They have the thoughts of the men who own some of these rare and beautiful watches. How they got into collecting them. It’s fascinating! Of course this book delves into the history and shows beautiful photography of gorgeous watches of the highest quality. It’s stunning! The photography shows up beautifully on the Kindle edition! I love it!

    I watch this book….
If you want to know about high end mechanical watches and be up and ready to talk with a snobbish well educated horologist….then get this book and start reading it. Nice picture, but great info on these very expensive watches with lots of little facts. Good book if your hobby is time pieces.

    Better on the Kindle
This is a low verbal content, high photo dependent book. I have both a kindle and paperback copy. The books is quite small, the photos are high quality (paperback) but difficult to see detail due to small size. Using the Kindle app on an Ipad is awsome. The watches are works of art.

A Great Book to Help Train the Collector’s Eye
This book is a photo collection featuring some of the most famous watches of fifty iconic brands. The photos are beautiful and that is enough to make this book enjoyable. However, I think the real value of this book is that it helps the collector develop a critical eye for beauty. The joy of watch collecting is in the subtle differences between different watches. This is a great book for helping a budding collector refine their understanding of what is beautiful and therefore desirable. Highly recommended!

Fascinating book for watch enthusiasts. Easy read for watch enthusiasts just starting out. For more serious collectors, many watch brands illustrated in this book.

    Very mediocre and disappointing.
My problem with this book is its missing some well established brands like for instance Mido that really turned me off i didnt see Maurice Lacroix,Revue Thommen,Rado ,raymond wiel and edox. But they included swatch and hermes. It seemed like all they were interested in doing was putting as many flex brands as possible. Then they just randomly put in some random cheaper brands just to say they included them. This let me down i thought i would be learning about new watch companies instead its more of the same old flex brands like every other book.

Recomendo.
