CL has quickly become one of my favorites. Her writing is amazing and she never fails to have you hooked from the first few pages!Hello Riggs Valentine. With his bad boy vibes, dirty mouth and all things that make a good book boyfriend. Reformed playboy. Slightly grumpy. But the way he is with Monroe with have you swooning and sweating all at the same time!One Night Stand gone wrong. Enemies to lovers. Best friends brother. Fake dating! This book. Full of banter. Spice, fun and all the feels! It left me wanting for nothing! I devoured it! While their relationship or lack there of starts off on the wrong foot i loved watching them go from fake dating to fix Riggs’ image to letting their guards down, opening themselves up to one another and falling in love. The way Riggs builds Monroe up after shes spent most of her life shrinking, feeling alone and unworthy of love. He not only tells her she’s beautiful, strong and worthy but shows her! The growth in both characters is amazing. The confidence she grows into, and his maturity! I loved everything about this book! What a way to start a new series! I can not wait for more of CL’s baseball era & the Daytona Fury! ð©µâ¾ï¸

overall, i LOVED this book.the banter between Monroe and Riggs was so effing cute i ate that stuff up. i loved how riggs took care of monroe when she was sick. i loved how the characters were honest about their feelings and how monroe talked to riggs about the issue that came up towards the end instead of having a miscommunication trope! i also loved seeing characters from CLâs books in this one!now, the spice was SPICY. & riggsâ primal *thing*⦠the words i wanna express would get me banned from leaving reviews soooo iâll just say this: i can honestly i had to go touch grass after chapter 22 ð§ð¾ââï¸. and donât get me started on chapter 32favorite quotes:âI love the way you look in my clothes. Don’t ask me to pick a favorite MMC because every book so far has been so good I can’t pick. If you thought primal kink, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and possessive MMC only belong in dark romance, think again because Candice has put them all into a sports romance seamlessly! While I love Monroe’s fierceness and independence, I love it even more when she finally lets Riggs in to help her instead of fighting against him. Riggs seems like a cocky jerk, but watching him realize he’s falling for Monroe and how well he takes care of her was so sweet…and spicy. This book made me laugh, cry, sweat, and so much more. What I didnât expect is that I would be as obsessed with a team Mascot as I am with Friggle, but here we are.Monroe and Riggs shared one night together but that passion quickly turns to dislike the next morning after certain things are discovered. Two years later, their dynamic hasnât changed and the banter continues to be epic.Riggs finds himself in a hot waters with management and needs to repair his reputation immediately. He gets the idea of fake dating Monroe so she could help him fix his imagine. Monroe is going through some changes at work and she starts off as reluctant to agree to Riggs idea, but decides moving may help clarify what comes next.I LOVED the natural progression of their relationship. We get to watch so much growth between these characters while they accept their feelings and let their walls fall. Riggs really surprised me his tender moments and that mirror scene (iykyk) left me in tears and breathless. I feel also be forever grateful for the kinks CL Rose unlocks with her books because this was certainly educational and spicyyy.This is book 1 in the Daytona Fury series and I canât WAIT for it to continue. I have my eyes on certain characters and canât wait to learn about about this.

OMGâ¦.. this book was sooooooooo good!!!Funny, sweet, banter filled and SPICY AF ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥So, I really did not like Riggs when we initially met him in the last Boston Blizzard book and I could only hope the C.L. would change my mind about the hot-headed baseball player!Well, our lady author outdid herself and did indeed change my opinion, so much so, that I found myself rooting for him from early doors!!!This pair were hot and veerrryyy spicy from their first encounter.Monroe was a genuinely good person who had grown up with a lot of privileges but she seemed to have been considered more of a pawn than a person by her parents and she was determined to life life in her own terms. She had no idea who Riggs was the night they met, she was just looking for a little release before she settled in to the next stage in her life but he gave her one helluva memorable night.Riggsâ needed control in the bedroom but had never met someone he felt safe and comfortable enough to let loose with until his night with Monroe. She was a game changer for him and her abruptly departure after their explosive night was unexpected.I got why Monroe bailed as she did and I also understood Riggsâ reaction when he next saw her.Monroeâs reaction on seeing him where she least expected was, IMO, very much out of self-preservation but both their attitudes set the tone for their hate-ship going forward!This pairâ¦. they needed each other more than they realised.Riggs needed a reputation makeover and Monroe needed a breather and time to work out her next career move.Although this started out as an agreement to smooth things over for Riggs, this pair meshed so well that living together changed their opinions and attitude of each other and changed the direction of their relationship.They say the line between love and hate is a very fine one and that was certainly true for our kinky couple.I adored how Riggs treated Monroe once he got his head out of his butt and began to realise how special she was. He showed such a caring, sweet, considerate and protective side that was slightly unexpected but really adorable. What a start into a new series!!! CL Rose has quickly become a favorite author of mine, her writing is fabulous, and she gets me hooked from the first page and makes it hard to put the book away!Riggs and Monroe are no friends, even tho they hang out with the same people. Until they both need help with their own little problems, and they both decide to dive into the fake relationship. But can there be more? What happens when lines are crossed??I love their banter, the fun, the love they share. Riggs is the sweetest ever, and does everything in his power to get Monroe on his side. The banter is hilarious, the spice is high, the tension is palpable and the love is the sweetest!Cannot wait to read more from the Daytona Fury team!

This book didn’t disappoint. It didn’t just live up to my expectations. My expectations were well and truly exceeded. Candice hit a grand slam out of the park.Riggs and Monroe had an amazing connection even if it did begin as hatred, but Riggs needed her to show his team bosses that he wasn’t a screw up, he was the daytona fury pitcher who had a run in with the team mascot that lead him down a path he never expected.Monroe was a character that I loved she was a determined marketing manager who wanted to establish a marketing business after the boutique she worked at closed, so she reluctantly agreed to be Rigg’s fake girlfriend, this allows her to see a different side of Riggs.The relationship that developed between Riggs and Monroe was hot, i loved how they connected and slowly built a bond, and Riggs looked after her, and how they connected on every levelThis book was perfectly written, and I can’t wait for the next book.
